Chester County Speaks: Andy sits down with Billie Goldstein
Andy sits down at Penn’s Table in downtown West Chester with Billie Goldstein, Community Health Nurse at Phoenixville Hospital, to discuss the future of next generation.
Andy Dinniman: Hey Billie, catch me up on all those projects we’ve been working on.
Billie Goldstein: Well Andy I’m so glad to be here today. I’m crossing party lines here to support you.
Andy: Oh yeah, I appreciate that!
Billie: …And I wanted to tell you specifically why. I just can’t tell you how much I have appreciated what you have done for the youth that I work with.
Andy: You and I have been trying to work on the problem of chewing tobacco which more and more young people are getting into.
Billie: That’s right, when I came to you in 2010 and asked you to come to Phoenixville Area High School you took time out of your busy schedule and came and you made advocates out of those students!
Andy: I thought one of the really good things that both you and I were able to do together was to bring those students to Harrisburg.
Billie: And every year you are there giving them the history about the capital. Not only have you worked with the students, but I really do think that you’re on our side to try to promote stronger clean air laws for the state.
Andy: The cost is health, the cost is the air. Like we can sit here at this restaurant and enjoy a conversation without smoke!
Billie: We have made huge leaps in this area because of people like you. I’m plugging for you and I hope you keep up the good work.
Andy: I’m glad we had a chance to talk today.
Billie: Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Andy: It’s my pleasure!
